Training and conference speaking, with an edge
As a college instructor and guest speaker at national conferences, I have spoken on: media relations, emergency management, emergency communications, issues management and public relations. Drawing on my 15 years experience as a journalist and corporate communicator, I have developed a series of presentations, workshops and lectures based on interactive and group learning.
As an instructor, I have taught courses on Strategic Planning/Crisis Management and Public Relations at Fanshawe College. I have also spoken at national conferences in Ottawa and Halifax on Issues Management: How to Get Ahead of the Issue, and was one of the highest ranked speakers. In the field of media relations, I have taught a number of group courses and provided one-on-one training to City of London staff – both management and front-line employees.
